Home Welcome to South Lake Community Futures Development Corporation (South Lake CFDC). South Lake CFDC is a not-for-profit community based organization providing a variety of small business and community economic development services within the towns of East Gwillimbury, Georgina as well as Brock Township. South Lake CFDC operates under a contract from Industry Canada / FedNor to provide community futures programming to these communities.
Our MissionOur community based organization, comprised of a fiscally responsible and business-oriented Board of Directors and staff, endeavors to foster job creation and support for new and established businesses in the community. Our mission includes the provision of loans as well as a broad range of other financial services, business counselling and community economic development activities. We will strive to be known by our commitment to the community.
Company ProfileSouth Lake CFDC provides a variety of business and community economic development services. Business Financing: South Lake CFDC does small business financing for both new start-ups and existing business expansion. Business Financing Business Financing for Youth: South Lake CFDC is a partner of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) which provides aspiring youth entrepreneurs with start-up financing. Business Financing for Youth Social Enterprise Financing: South Lake CFDC does financing for both new start-ups and existing social economy or social enterprise activities. Social Enterprise Financing Business Counselling, Resources and Registration: South Lake CFDC can provide members of the local business community as well as those looking to start their own business with access to business counselling on a variety of topics. We also have a small resource centre and an Ontario Business Connects business registration computer. Business Counselling/Resources/Registration Community Economic Development (CED): South Lake CFDC provides leadership and funding support to a wide variety of CED projects. Community Economic Development Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP): The South Lake CFDC is working with 15 other CFDCs on a broader regional development initiative impacting on rural communities across the rural portion of south eastern Ontario. The program offers support for a wide variety of local projects including Youth Internships, Skills Development, Business Planning, Not For Profit community initiatives, and Access to Capital. South Lake CFDC is a member of the Ontario Association of Community Futures Development Corporations as well as the Beaverton District, East Gwillimbury, and Georgina Chambers of Commerces.
